About Monica...
Monica Krygowski is a registered dietitian and holds her Master of Science Degree in Nutrition and Dietetics from Texas Woman's University in Denton TX. In practice for over fifteen years, she is experienced in clinical and community dietetics with strong counseling and teaching skills. She developed her expertise in working with disordered eating and weight management issues during her seven years working as a Health Education Coordinator at the University of Texas at Austin. Upon her move to Colorado in 2006, she gained additional experience in the design, development and execution of both nutrition programs and wellness outreach programs while working for the University of Colorado Denver, Health Science Center. The Family Program and environmental wellness surveys that she helped to develop can be found on the American On the Move website. She is active in professional dietetic associations at the national, state and local levels and was a founding member and founding executive officer for the American Dietetic Association Weight Management Dietetic Practice Group (ADA WMDPG) first as elected Treasurer and then as elected Chair. She currently serves in the role of Past Chair for the WMDPG, participates on the newsletter committee of the Metro Denver Health and Wellness Commission and is a member of the American Diabetes Association Advocacy Committee.
